Carved Masks & Artwork by Cherish Alexander

2012 YVR award ceremony

Artwork by Cherish

I create masks and small figures with alder wood, horse hair, human hair and acrylic paints, I can also inlay shells.

About the Artist

My work can currently be seen at the Vancouver YVR airport, I am a recipient of a 2010 and 2011 scholarship award.

My Mentor for both projects was Artist Stan Bevan and the 2011 project was the mask pictured at left, "Northern Princess."  The mask featured a "labret" signifying that the mask depicts a woman.

Feel free to look through my portfolio for a sample of my work. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Sale of masks, and requests

I can do requests of mask types, or preferred crest, animal, or significant features. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing a mask.
